For Hosts: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. When you connect your Stripe account, Stripe collects your banking and identity information directly — WishWelly does not store this data.

For Guests: When you send a gift, we collect your name and optionally your email address and phone number. If you record a video, take a photo, or upload media, this content is stored securely.

• To deliver your messages, videos, and photos to event hosts
• To send transactional emails (gift receipts and host notifications)
• To maintain and improve our service

We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

All payments are processed by Stripe (stripe.com). WishWelly never sees, stores, or has access to your credit card numbers or bank account details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment data.

Videos and photos uploaded with gifts are stored securely on Cloudinary (cloudinary.com), a trusted cloud media platform. Only the event host can view media associated with their event.

Guest video and photo messages are stored free of charge for 7 days following the event date. After this period, media files are automatically deleted unless the host has purchased extended storage. Written text messages and gift records are retained indefinitely. Hosts can download their media at any time during the free storage window.

We use Resend (resend.com) to send transactional emails only:

• Gift receipt confirmations to guests
• Gift notification alerts to hosts

We do not send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional content.

We use essential cookies only for user authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information

• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of host email notifications (toggle in event settings)
